Catholics for the Common Good Institute: Dedicate Our Lent to marriage and family

From: Catholics for the Common Good Institute
Prayer, Almsgiving, and Action for Lent

If our hope were in man, we could easily become discouraged by recent developments undermining marriage—President Obama abandoning the defense of marriage, civil unions and same-sex “marriage” moving forward rapidly in state legislatures from Maryland to Hawaii, and the daily corrupting of children’s understanding of love, marriage, and human sexuality in schools across the country. But our hope is not in man. Our hope is in Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, and we are bound together in him as if roped together in a mountain climbing party. Together, let us dedicate our Lent to marriage and family.
