Short Deadline – Update Below
Thousands of Signatures Needed by Thursday
Take Action Right Away
While gay rights organizations continue to celebrate, the House leadership is considering how to respond to the fact that the President will no longer defend the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Urgent action is needed as Courts from the Northern District of California to the First Circuit Court of Appeals in New England are asking the Obama Administration how they should proceed with pending challenges to DOMA. They are asking for rapid responses.
It is critical to make everyone aware of the consequences of the President not defending marriage between a man and a woman and the urgency of the House of Representatives making provisions to save the marriage law.
Sign Petition and forward now to build massive support.
Because the media is almost entirely silent on this issue, it is up to you spread the word and ask friends and family members to sign the save DOMA petition. Forward it now to give others time to forward it to their friends also. Everyone who understand marriage unites a man and a woman with each other and any children born from their relationship needs to take action now.
Please sign the petition today asking Speaker Boehner to take over the defense of marriage!
If you have already signed the petition do not do it again. Multiple signature will not help, but you can do more to help.
Forward this email to 5 friends or family members.
Contact your member of Congress, preferably by letter or phone. See instructions
In addition to taking action, please pray. Ask for the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Venerable John Paul the Great that our nation’s leaders will defend the reality of God’s plan for creation: marriage that unites a man and a woman with each other and any children born from their union.
